Plugin alliance mega bundle4/11/2023 ![]() ![]() NAM is going viral and it's the very definition of 'disruptive technology' in its field. I was wondering when this was going to happen, I mean the heavy discounts starting as those that make amp modelers start to panic a bit. Still thinking about picking one up (smaller one anyway). Vox AC series are among the fave amps I've never owned. I think that's because it has more bite on attack whereas Blyss saturation is really smooth and sweet. But for some reason I do prefer TWK on drum shells over Blyss. ![]() Clariphonic is nice, but pricey, and I'm usually removing high end in my mixes rather than adding it, so it never seemed worth it.The saturation in Blyss is fantastic. I've tried all the other Kush plugins and haven't made the leap. I also never really got using the other Omegas or the REDDI, so those are currently deleted like AR-1. ![]() I ended up not using AR-1 (currently favoring Overloud Gem LA for that kind of action). Novatron, SSL Bus v2, and Overloud LA are probably my most-used compressors (and KGE on the mixbus). I also really like Novatron for punchy compression. Kush TWK is an easy buy - still one of the best "one knob" saturators on the market. My favorite Kush plugin is Blyss - but be aware you can't disable the internal oversampling, so it's fairly heavy, which is OK because it's intended for the master bus, or a few summed ones. I don't have Silika yet - some day, I plan to. Check out the Kush After Dark video where Mr Scott goes crazy with his compressors -but it's super valuable to hear what he does and what each of the different ones do in context. ![]()
